Peel the pear, cut it into quarters and remove the seeds. Cut the figs in halves.
Add the milk, the remaining vanilla essence and the rice flakes to another pot and bring to boil until creamy.
Add the fruits, the cinnamon stick, 1 tsp vanilla essence in a pot. Cover with water and let to simmer on low heat until the pear is soft (about 25 minutes).
Put the rice into a serving bowl, then add the drained fruits on top and leave to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
