I’ve always thought that guacamole tastes better without additional vegetable oils in it. And I find it relevant to say that the avocado has enough fat on its own, so my favorite version is the one that exploits the avocado’s nutty flavor at max level.
No oil guacamole

Ingredients
- 1 ½ avocados ripe
- ¼ lemon
- ¼ red onion
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Easy-peasy this one – Scoop out the avocado pulp in a bowl and mash with a fork.
- Peel and cut the onion quarter, then finely slice and rub with salt. Use a kitchen towel to dry the onion slices from the onion juice.
- Mix the avocado with the onion slices, season with the juice from the lemon and salt.
- Serve with your favorite bread or crackers.
