Nutty porridge with coconut cream

The one and only thing that stays close to my heart (and tummy 🙂 ) about breakfasts is porridge.. and eggs. And porridge again. So I prepared this lovely nutty porridge just to indulge myself and have something old and new in the same time.

Nutty porridge with coconut cream

Ingredients

  • 400 ml low fat milk 1.5% fat
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 30 ml coconut cream
  • 20 g pecan nuts
  • 15 g hazelnuts

Instructions

  • Bring the milk to a boil and add the rolled oats.
  • Leave to simmer until creamy (stir from time to time).
  • Add the raw cocoa and whisk thoroughly.
  • Set aside and leave to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add the honey and pour into 2 serving bowls.
  • Garnish with the nuts and coconut creamed drizzled on top.
