Grilled trout with steamed potatoes

When it comes to fish or seafood, I am the first in line to get that! And this time, while I was shopping, I saw these pretty small trouts with their clear eyes and contrasting dots on their backs and I knew right away they were freshly caught and very tasty, so I bought some and enjoyed a lovely dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 small trouts
  • 400 g potatoes peeled
  • 1 lime
  • 150 g low fat greek yogurt 2% fat
  • 2 pickled cucumbers
  • 1/2 bundle fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash the fish thoroughly in cold water. Drain and dry with paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat up a pan then add the fish. Fry on each side for 6 minutes.
  • Cut the potatoes in quarters then steam them for 20 minutes.
  • In the meantime, prepare a sauce from the pickled cucumbers, the greek yogurt, the capers and the dill. Blend everything together until smooth.
  • Serve the fish with a drizzle of fresh lime,  the hot steamed potatoes along with the yogurt sauce.
