“Winter is my favorite thing” I used to say when I was just a little girl. My preferences maybe changed since then, but the smell of cinnamon-fruity compote along with the rice porridge are rooted deep into my heart.

Ingredients
- 50 g rice flakes
- 250 ml milk 1.5% fat
- 1 pear
- 25 g dried figs
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick small
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions
- Peel the pear, cut it into quarters and remove the seeds. Cut the figs in halves.
- Add the milk, the remaining vanilla essence and the rice flakes to another pot and bring to boil until creamy.
- Add the fruits, the cinnamon stick, 1 tsp vanilla essence in a pot. Cover with water and let to simmer on low heat until the pear is soft (about 25 minutes).
- Put the rice into a serving bowl, then add the drained fruits on top and leave to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
