Cooking fish ‘en papillote’, that is wrapping it in baking paper, it’s a great solution for those who don’t want their home invaded by the smell of fried fish 🙂 I find this particular recipe extra delicious, healthy and very easy to prepare. Enjoy!
Simple salmon en papillote

Ingredients
- 2 pc salmon file skin-on
- 2 lemon slices
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 stems fresh rosemary
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start the oven to preheat at 200°C.
- Lay a baking paper over as small shallow baking tray.
- Place the salmon files (skin down) and season with salt and pepper.
- Wash the garlic cloves, crush them over a wood board (skin-on) and place on top of the fish pieces.
- Cut the lemon slices in half and place over the fish.
- Gather the edges and corners of the baking paper and secure it together with skewers (I used metal skewers).
- Cook for 25 minutes at 200°C.
- Take out of the oven, open the baking paper wrap and leave to rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- This dish goes nicely with polenta and tomato-garlic sauce, garlic sauteed green beans or rice.
